Milonga Puertitas returns!

To both pre-&-post slots bookending the Albuquerque Tango Festival

5:30 Doors will open

6:00-6:45pm Free Class “the sailors walking ~ Canaro caminata “ — all level even first timers.

7:00pm 1st Tanda kicks off and we’ll dance until 11:00pm!

$20 regular entrada

$15 entrada f you if you:

  • Come early and participate in our 6pm Free Class before the milonga!

  • Come in “disfraz” (costume either Día de los Muertos -or- Halloween)

  • Support Local: take a pic of yourself eating/drinking at any one of our favorite local places. Either bring a receipt or just take a pic (tag us both if posting!):

  1. Cafe Lush — my favorite breakfast joint in ABQ w/ fresh, local and gluten-free options! Better Call Saul fans may recognize it from season 1. Located at 700 Tijeras Ave NW between 7th & 8th. Closed Sundays. Near the Saturday morning ABQ Farmer’s Market!

  2. Es Que Market — a real NM local & made from scratch culinary experience, I love the Carnal (now on Grubhub!) — Located downtownABQ at 319 5th St. SW between Silver and Lead. Closed Sundays.

  3. Juno Brewery — great “killer salads” for only $10!Located right across the street from Las Puertas at 1501 1st Street NW

  4. La Finca Bowls 100% gluten-free kitchen! I love the “Fisherman Bowl” — Located on the 300 block of Broadway Blvd NE — bewtween MLK and Tijeras

  5. The Mouse Hole Cheese Shop and sandwiches Located on the 300 block of Broadway Blvd NE — bewtween MLK and Tijeras

  6. Triana — fantastic tapas, wines and happy hour. Located in Nob Hill (10-15min drive) is a perfect place for a classy and casual meal between milongas. 111 Carlisle NE between Campus & Central (nice & safe section to walk about Route 66!).

COFFEE (support local!)

  1. Novel Point Coffee — my favorite dark roast & cortado w/ oat milk in ABQ! — Located just down the road from both Las Puertas & Embassy Suites at 700 1st St. NW in DowntownABQ between Lomas & Roma. Better Call Saul fan will recognize Mike’s toll booth!

  2. Castle Coffee — great local joint for light and medium roasts & community vibe! — Located one block from Cafe Lush and also one block from the Saturday ABQ Farmers market. 727 Tijeras Ave. NW off of 8th.

Downtown Grower’s Market is a favorite Saturday morning (8am to noon) farmers’ market in Robinsons Park on 8th & Central Ave! A great place to find locally made gifts and experience part of Albuquerque right along Rte 66! Nov-2nd will be the last market of 2024!
