As always with Puerta al Tango ... no lifts nor sentadas are ever allowed for safety (and sanity).
Enthusiastic consent is a must before trying out any ganchos, full sacadas, boleos and volcadas... basically any moves that involves someone's leg wrapping around another or one dancer being pulled off their axis.
You will need prior consent!
This is to keep folk safe and also maintain a relaxed atmosphere between dancers as equals.
Most followers do not wish to be subjected to these moves. This is why you must ask first and respect the “no” without question or diappointment. Instead why not explore real social tango in the more impressive realm of La Caminata?
It's easy, all you need to do is ask respectfully if the other dancer is down for practicing these moves. If they are not 100% enthusiastic this means "no." Full stop.
