“Trampitas Educadas”

At Las Puertas 1500 1st St. NW

  • 12:30 studio open for warm-ups, coffee, tea, bread & butter

  • 1:00-2:30pm Class 1: Trampitas educadas - part one How the realizer feels the “trick” and trusts where they are - how to really add spice and possibilities to subtle moments! Equilibrium and navigational focus on 60% Realizer / 40% Navigator focused

  • 3:00 - 4:30pm Class 2: Trampitas educadas - part two. When to “politely trick” for better position for the you and your partner… polite tricks that look good and slyly gain better position without “cheating” or faking it. 60% Navigator / 40% Realizer focused

    CLASS #3 only open to limited All-Day passes!

  • 5:30-9:30pm Share food, time, conversation at my house. We will roughly start the class #3 around 6:30pm. It will be a 1.5 hour guided musicality & floorcraft class at how ALL dancers contribute to a smoothly flowing & harmonious milonga.

  • Open Practice with available tango therapy… and hanging out, eating, socializing before and afterwards.

$65 All-day Pass (only 20 passes)

includes 3 classes, tango therapy practice, great food and house party.

Drop-ins welcome for classes 1 & 2 at Las Puertas only.

$20 for one class (class 1 or 2)

$35 for two classes (classes 1 & 2)

Molinetes are molinetes (windlass winches) & grapevines are grapevines! They deserve to be appreciated as different.The realizers have more power in this dynamic to express the music!

Realizer = “follower”

& Navigator = “leader”

Saturday Workshops with Puerta al Tango

2 classes at the studio + 1 house guided musicality class & party

An immersion into Fluid Dynamics exploration through subtle movements. Honing small space skills and unbridling ourselves for more fluid and dynamic connections.

  • How to age safely in tango with natural technique.

  • How to engage dynamically without sweating (too much).

  • How to have fun with less and provide more good experiences for others when dancing milonga, tango and vals

  • Floorcraft skills to make friends and build good community.

  • All-level inclusive ~ I learn more when working with someone new than with someone with experience. I get to hone the nucleotides that are the DNA of natural tango movements, so to speak. This weekend is crafted to enhance everyone’s ability and understanding… with the tide will rise all boats.

Cancellation & Return Policies:

For valid reasons (family, emergency, work) we should be able to do a refund minus $5 processing fee up until a week before the event. Afterwards if we are able to find a replacement we should be to keep the processing fee at $5. Otherwise a $10 fee.

For non-valid reasons (just changed your mind) we can do a refund minus $10 % up until a week before the event. $15 afterwards. Credit can be issued minus $25 fee for day-of notice of non-participation. No refund for no-shows.
